How Lumarii handles your data
Lumarii Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
Developer: TheCozyDev
Overview
Lumarii is built on the principle that your reflections are yours alone. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data—which is: we don't collect it, we don't sell it, and we don't share it.
What We Collect
We collect almost nothing.
Your journal entries: Stored locally on your device only. They never leave your phone/iPad unless you choose to export them.
Basic app analytics: We use Apple's built-in App Analytics to understand crash rates and feature usage (anonymized, aggregated data only). You can opt out in iOS Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising.
Crash logs: If the app crashes, we receive anonymized error reports to help us fix bugs.
What We Don't Do
❌ We don't send your journal entries to our servers
❌ We don't store your data in the cloud (unless you explicitly choose to with iCloud Backup)
❌ We don't sell your data
❌ We don't use your data for advertising or marketing
❌ We don't share your data with third parties
❌ We don't track you across other apps
❌ We don't require an account or login
iCloud Backup (Optional)
If you enable iCloud Backup on your device, your Lumarii data may be included in that backup. This is your choice—you can disable iCloud Backup for Lumarii in your device settings. When using iCloud Backup, Apple's privacy policy applies to that data.
Data You Can Control
You own your data. You can:
Export your journal entries anytime
Delete entries whenever you want
Delete the app entirely and all local data is removed from your device
Third-Party Services
Lumarii uses:
Apple App Analytics – Aggregated, anonymized usage data
Apple Crash Reporting – Anonymized crash logs to help us improve stability
We don't use Facebook, Google Analytics, or any third-party tracking services.
Children's Privacy
Lumarii is suitable for ages 4+. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before using the app (though we'd love if they used it too).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We'll let you know about significant changes through the app or our social channels (@TheCozyDev).
